Meet Your Team

Dr. Nohora Martinez

im_nohora.jpgDr. Nohora Martinez comes from a family of 12 dentists.  She virtually grew up in a dental practice.  At 15 years of age she started studying dentistry at the Pontificia Javeriana University, and later completed her specialization in Orthodontics in Colombia.

Upon coming to Canada she had to re-qualify her degree. There are several thousands of foreign-trained dentists in Canada and only about 60 are admitted into the program each year.  She was one of them.  After studying again she has obtained the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Schulich School of Dentistry, at UWO in London.

Dr. Martinez believes in giving back to the community.  In Colombia she has helped numerous patients get access to dental care that they wouldn't have had otherwise.    Over the summer 2008 she volunteered her time at the dental clinic at UWO.

Dr. Martinez continually takes continuing education courses to be current with the most recent procedures and technological advances in dentistry.  She enjoys meeting people, listening to their dental needs and helping them plan a treatment that fits their needs and budget.

Nohora Martinez is married and in May 2009 became a proud mother of a little boy named Mario.

Dr. Angela Ma has over 7 years of experience.  She obtained her degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto in 2005 and received the John A. Bothwell Scholarship for Excellence in Prosthodontics.  Prior to practicing in a private practice, Dr. Ma completed 2 years of post-graduate training at the State University of New York where she also was a clinical instructor for undergraduate dental students.

Dr. Ma partakes in community outreach such as educating elementary students the importance of dental care.  She volunteered at underserved areas in Mexico and Dominican Republic.  Dr. Ma attends continuing education courses to stay up-to-date with the most advanced techniques and technologies. Dr. Ma speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

She moved to London in 2007 when her husband started his medical residency training at UWO.  They have fallen in love with the forest city and the friendly people here. "I always had pleasant experience when I visited dental offices in my childhood, and therefore decided to pursue dentistry as my career.  With my empathy and passion, you will have the same pleasant experience as I did, and achieve better oral and overall health."
